        Obtaining An Authenticated Birth Certificate

        I was born in Ireland and I don’t have a Birth Certificate
        Print off page 2 & 3 of this PDF. Complete the form, and tick “Long Form Certificate” & “Authenticated Certificate” in Section 5 “Birth Certificate/Adoption Certificate Details”, include an email address for the GRO to email you with a unique link to process your order. The cost is €30 (€20 for the certificate and €10 for Authentication. Post the form to the address below or scan the completed form, and attach to an email addressed to GROonlinepayments@welfare.ie.

The cost is €10 for Authentication. Post the form to the address, along with your existing birth certificate. You may wish to register post it.
